Surprise! My sophomore album Woodstock Dream is out now.
Entirely written, performed and produced by me.*
Mixed and mastered by @thebenator.
This record was just finished several days ago on a laptop in Switzerland. It was a crunch, and I’m so proud of what came out of it all.
I wrote these songs two years ago during a time I look back on fondly. Earlier this year I was looking back through the archive and decided that I wanted to preserve those feelings and imagery via a new body of work (also because it’s a rare opportunity as a songwriter to have actually happy songs). This album is reminiscing. This album is a grandson telling his grandfather about his first love (with grandpa played by the one and only @carl.oligny). This album is a snapshot in time- somewhat like trying to preserve an old photo. A memento for myself and a way for others to look through a window into how I felt. Love for the first time- who wouldn’t want to feel that?
As many artists are, I’m years ahead of my work. I’m always going to have three more albums in the chamber 🙀
But for now, use these songs as a way to fall back into time and feel those feelings all over again. I hope you have as much fun listening as I did making.
This album wouldn’t have happened without those who have supported me and loved me. Thank you thank-you thank-you to all of you.
Love wins. 🙏🧡

Album release Show at Eddie's Attic on 9/3/2023
To celebrate the release of my new album later next month, I’m doing a show at @eddiesattic on September 3rd! No bells and whistles, just me, my guitar, and the songs. Okay, some loops and effects too. Joining me are my friends @sashahurtadomusic and @jesseowenastin! If you’re in town this Labor Day, come let the songs speak to ya.
Too Much - single and video out now
“Too Much” is a youthful indie-pop tune that captures the feeling of falling for someone for the first time and the giddy nervousness that comes with it. Written and produced by Mason Embers. Mixed and mastered by Ben Etter. Video directed by Leora Winter.

"Billie Jean" Out Now
Michael Jackson was the first musical artist and performer that I was mesmerized by, so of course I had to make “Billie Jean” my first cover rendition. The cover was made to take the groove of the song even further and showcase my added intricate and ear-catching guitar, bass, and vocal parts to the song, giving it a modern flare.

Debut Album "The Astounding Descent" Out Now
Mason Embers’ debut album, The Astounding Descent is out today.
“The Astounding Descent started as all major projects do- with a single thought. I was an imaginative fourteen-year-old, a year into singing, playing guitar, and writing songs. I had been struggling with developing concepts for my songs until I had a revelation that made me realize that I could write about that which everyone has experienced and can relate to emotions themselves. It was this core concept of writing about emotions, such as affection, anxiety, depression, excitement, and the like, which led me to the creation of this album. With the groundwork laid, I then got to thinking on what vessel I could use to explore the themes of emotion. I decided that a soldier would be the most likely person to experience the whole spectrum of emotions in a short period of time. That is why there are some obvious and other not-so-obvious war references in the work- it’s told through a soldier’s view. All in all, The Astounding Descent is a concept record, though I like to call it an interpretive or hidden concept record because the story of the soldier is likely completely missable without being given certain prompts or modes of thinking. However, I think that adds an element of accessibility for anyone who listens because the listener is not obligated to be sucked into any kind of story. It’s only those who purposefully look for it that may be able to find a cohesive narrative.”
New Single "Trooper" Out Now
At the surface, “Trooper” is a window into the experience of a paratrooper about to jump out of a plane. The song outlines dialog from one soldier to another, gives an overview of how one might feel in the experience, and ends with the big jump. However, when taking into account the story of life which is my album, it turns into something more. To me, it is as if one could explain to and warn a baby what is ahead for them in life, and the baby able to understand the weight of what is going to happen. “Trooper” is a song of realization, of caution, of explanation, and of taking action.

"Rush" Single Out Now
I’m beyond excited for the release of my new single “Rush”. Though time seemed to slow to a halt during this year, I think it’s safe to say all our minds have stayed racing. This song is about recognizing the urge to constantly keep moving in this world, but realizing that sometimes we need to slow down and take an outside perspective to enjoy the smaller details in life. I hope you all can find something in this song you can relate to and feel- and know that no matter what point you are in your life, that new times are always coming and you are never truly stuck.
